Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, January 2025 — Sandhydeep Purri has been appointed as the Chief People Officer at McDonald’s, where she will lead the company’s human resources strategies, focusing on talent development, employee engagement, and organizational transformation. With over two decades of HR leadership experience, she brings a wealth of expertise in people management, talent strategy, and operational excellence.
Prior to joining McDonald’s, Sandhydeep Purri served as Chief People Officer at Unacademy, where she focused on HR transformation and workforce strategies for approximately a year.
Before that, she held the position of Chief People Officer at Sapphire Foods India Pvt. Ltd. for over six years, where she led HR operations for Pizza Hut and KFC across India, playing a key role in leadership development, organizational transformation, and talent strategies.
Earlier, Sandhydeep worked at Aditya Birla Group for nearly four years, serving as AVP & Head of Organization Effectiveness and Transformation and later as Head of Talent Management & Development. In these roles, she was responsible for succession planning, diversity initiatives, and talent development across the retail sector.
She also gained valuable consulting experience as a Senior Manager – Human Capital Consulting at Deloitte and held leadership roles at Tech Mahindra, DDB Mudra Group, and Denso during the early stages of her career.
