Riyadh, Saudi Arabia — Sanjay Khanna has recently joined the King Salman International Airport Development Company as the Chief Strategy Officer, bringing over two decades of expertise in strategic leadership within the aviation and logistics sectors.
Before his new role, Khanna was integral to the Royal Commission for Riyadh City as Sector Program Lead & Advisor in Transport and Logistics from December 2022 to May 2024. Here, he played a pivotal role in strategic initiatives that significantly contributed to transforming Riyadh into a globally recognized metropolitan hub. His leadership was essential in steering the sector towards technological and regulatory advancements, ensuring Riyadh’s transport and logistics sectors aligned with global standards.
Prior to that, Khanna served as the Chief Executive Officer of Ras Al Khaimah International Airport from September 2017 to July 2021. During his tenure, he was responsible for substantial revenue growth and operational enhancements, which solidified the airport’s reputation in the global aviation market.
Further back, Khanna was the Chief Commercial Officer at Mumbai International Airport, where he led numerous initiatives to maximize revenue through strategic commercial planning and development from March 2016 to August 2017. His efforts were instrumental in introducing new retail brands and enhancing passenger experience, setting new benchmarks in airport commercial strategies.
