Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, March 2025 – Sanjay Sachdeva has been appointed as the new Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Bajaj Electricals Ltd, effective April 15, 2025. With over three decades of extensive global experience, Sachdeva will be responsible for steering all business verticals, with a keen focus on innovation, market expansion, and long-term strategic growth.
Career Journey
Prior to joining Bajaj Electricals, Sachdeva served as Managing Director and CEO at Unilever Japan, where he held P&L responsibilities, successfully driving growth and operational excellence for three years. His leadership significantly impacted Unilever’s business performance in the region, showcasing his capability in managing international markets.
Before his role in Japan, Sachdeva was the Vice President Marketing for Unilever’s Beauty and Personal Care business covering North Africa, Middle East, Turkey, and Russia for approximately four years, based in Dubai. Here, he strategically enhanced market share and brand presence through targeted initiatives across diverse markets.
Previously, he served as the Vice President Marketing for Home Care at Unilever in Shanghai, China, for about nine years, where he effectively led marketing and operations strategies, solidifying Unilever’s position in the competitive Chinese market.
Earlier in his career, as Marketing Director based in São Paulo, Brazil, Sachdeva spearheaded Laundry marketing initiatives across Latin America for nearly three years, demonstrating his adaptability and strategic acumen in varied market dynamics.
Sachdeva began his distinguished career with Hindustan Unilever in Mumbai, India, where he spent close to 15 years managing diverse roles, gaining foundational expertise that propelled his successful global leadership journey.
Sachdeva holds a B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi, and an MBA from the prestigious Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Calcutta.
