Kolkata, West Bengal, India, July 2025 – Sanjib Kumar Das has taken charge as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Bandhan Group, where he will lead a wide array of impactful social and educational initiatives under the Group’s umbrella. In his new role, Sanjib is spearheading the Group’s social development and education verticals that include Bandhan Konnagar, Bandhan School of Business, a network of Bandhan CBSE Schools, Bandhan School of Development Management, Bandhan Climate Action Program, Bandhan Skills (NSDC partnership), and multiple other community-focused programs aimed at empowering women, children, and underserved populations.
Sanjib Kumar Das brings over two decades of rich and diverse leadership experience across the CSR, education, skills, and development sectors. Prior to joining Bandhan Group, he served as the CEO & Executive Director at The George Telegraph Group, where he led a major transformation to make the group future-ready, while managing top-line performance across multiple verticals, including vocational education, preschool chains, competitive exam training, animation and VFX training, and ed-tech initiatives like George Telegraph ONLINE and GSCE Digital.
Before stepping into the CEO & ED role, he worked as the Executive Director and Joint Director – Operations at George Telegraph, where he played a critical role in building award-winning CSR practices trusted by India’s leading corporates. He was instrumental in growing CSR fund acquisition at a 165% CAGR, scaling pan-India skilling initiatives, and driving key alliances with government and industry stakeholders.
Earlier, Sanjib served as President & Country Head at NSHM Udaan Skills, where he scaled operations across 18 states, trained over 30,000 students with an 84% placement record, and built high-impact CSR execution pipelines for reputed companies such as TATA Steel, Tech Mahindra, ITC, and Emami. His leadership helped NSHM earn recognition as the “Best Vocational Training Institute” from ASSOCHAM.
He also held senior leadership roles at Educomp, Pearson Education, and NIIT, where he focused on strategic partnerships, digital transformation, vocational skills expansion, and rural employability. His contributions have been recognized through prestigious awards like the Award of Excellence from NIIT Group Chairman R.S. Pawar and the TOI Education Pioneers of Bengal.
