Pune, Maharashtra, India, January 2026 – Sanjyot Buche has been promoted to the role of Director at Cognizant, marking a significant milestone in her global legal operations, governance, risk and compliance leadership journey. In this expanded leadership mandate, she will continue to lead strategic contracts lifecycle, risk management and regulatory governance programs across Cognizant’s global banking and financial services clients.
Sanjyot Buche has built a strong leadership journey at Cognizant, where she has served as Associate Director – APJ Lead, Contracts Lifecycle & Risk Management (CLRM) and GRC. In this role, she leads enterprise CLM, compliance and operational risk governance programs, serving as MSA custodian for strategic banking clients and executing large contract portfolios valued at over $500 million in annual contract value.
Prior to Cognizant, she spent over six years at Mphasis as Associate Vice President – BPS Legal, Contract & Business Process Delivery Operations, where she led legal operations for strategic financial services clients, managed large P&L portfolios and built high-performing teams of over 850 FTEs.
Earlier, Sanjyot served as General Manager – BPO Operations Delivery (Procurement & Legal) at Accenture, leading large-scale contract and procurement delivery programs and driving operations excellence initiatives.
She also held leadership roles at EXL, LexisNexis, and Manthan Services, and began her professional journey in finance and law at Ekbote & Deshmukh, Chartered Accountants and as a Junior Lawyer with Adv. K.L. Dharmadhikari, building a strong foundation in legal operations, finance and compliance.
Sanjyot Buche holds an Executive MBA in Business Management from Symbiosis International University.
