Sarah Aboaly Appointed as Head of Talent Acquisition at Genedy Construction

Cairo, Egypt, June 2025 – Genedy Construction has announced the appointment of Sarah Aboaly as its new Head of Talent Acquisition. In this key leadership role, Sarah will drive the company’s talent acquisition strategy, leading efforts to identify, attract, and secure top talent for the organization’s growing portfolio of quality construction projects.

Prior to joining Genedy Construction, Sarah was a Recruitment Consultant (Freelance) for five years, specializing in recruitment for the real estate field in Cairo. Her experience includes managing the full recruitment lifecycle, consulting with business leaders to understand hiring needs, and placing candidates in critical roles for various organizations.

Earlier in 2025, she served as Talent Acquisition Manager and later as Talent Acquisition Head at El Mansour Development, where she was responsible for building the talent pipeline, developing recruitment reports, supporting department heads in selection, and overseeing performance appraisals and onboarding processes. In this capacity, she played an instrumental role in aligning talent strategies with business objectives for a leading player in the real estate sector.

Sarah also gained substantial experience at Teba-United as a Senior Talent Acquisition & OD Specialist, overseeing end-to-end recruitment, manpower planning, and performance management for over three years. Her responsibilities included developing recruitment strategies, delivering training sessions, coordinating with external providers, and supporting organizational development initiatives.

Previously, Sarah worked as an HR Specialist at HOI MEA, managing the recruitment cycle, training programs, and employee onboarding for more than four years. She contributed significantly to HR operations, including reviewing manpower plans, conducting performance appraisals, and leading training and orientation sessions for new hires.

Sarah’s early experience includes her role as Technical Staff at Vodafone, where she honed her communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills while supporting customer operations in a fast-paced environment.

Matt holds a BA in Economics from the University of Southern California, an MSc from the London School of Economics, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He currently serves on the boards of the Lumina Foundation, the Aspen Institute’s Business and Society program, the Milken Institute’s Inclusive Capitalism initiative, and Georgetown University’s initiative on AI, Analytics, and the Future of Work. He is the co-author of numerous Harvard Business School case studies and articles on leadership.
