Holyoke, Massachusetts, United States, April 2025 – PeoplesBank has promoted Sarita Sheehan as its new Vice President, Human Resources, marking a significant milestone in her nearly two-decade career with the bank. In her new role, Sheehan will lead the strategic direction of the bank’s HR initiatives, focusing on workforce planning, employee engagement, talent development, and operational excellence to support PeoplesBank’s community-centric mission.
Sarita has built a strong legacy at PeoplesBank through her progressive growth in human resources roles. Prior to this appointment, she served as AVP – HR Operations Leader, where she oversaw key operational functions within HR. Her contributions during this period helped optimize HR processes and enhance service delivery for employees across the organization.
Earlier, she held the role of Human Resource Officer, following her success as Senior Human Resources Generalist and HR Generalist II, where she managed employee relations, compliance, and payroll operations while acting as a key partner to business leaders.
Her earlier experiences at the bank include serving as HRIS Administrator, Payroll Coordinator & HR Analyst, and Accounts Payable & Payroll Associate, which provided her with a well-rounded understanding of HR systems, data, and compliance processes. She began her journey at PeoplesBank as a Loan Service Associate in 2006 and has since demonstrated exemplary leadership, earning the trust and respect of her colleagues and peers.
