Singapore, August 2025 — Saumya Mittal has been appointed Chief People Officer for Asia at McDonald’s, where she will lead the company’s people agenda across Asian markets. With nearly 18 years of HR leadership experience spanning McDonald’s, Google, and PepsiCo, she brings expertise in organizational design, diversity and inclusion, talent acquisition, and culture transformation. In her new role, she will focus on shaping people strategy, fostering inclusivity, and strengthening employee engagement across the region.
Saumya joins this role after almost eight years at Google, where she most recently served as APAC Commercial HR Lead. She previously held leadership positions as APAC People Partner and APAC Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Lead, driving transformational HR practices, strengthening leadership capabilities, and embedding inclusive culture across multiple markets.
Earlier, she spent more than a decade at PepsiCo in diverse leadership positions including HRBP for HQ Functions, Head of Culture, Diversity, Engagement & Change Management, and GM – Talent Acquisition for Sales & Marketing. Her impactful initiatives in talent and culture earned her recognition as one of People Matters’ “Are You in the List 2015: Top HR Leaders in the Country.”
