Sayantani Dutta has been appointed as the Chief Human Resource Officer at Bajaj Housing Finance Limited, marking a significant milestone in her prolific career spanning over two decades. Dutta brings to her new role a deep expertise in human resources management, having previously shaped HR strategies and practices across various top-tier organizations.

Prior to joining Bajaj Housing Finance, Dutta was associated with Kotak Mahindra Bank as the HR for Wholesale Bank & Treasury, where she spent four years refining talent solutions and fostering a diverse and inclusive culture. Her strategic initiatives were crucial in enhancing the bank’s profitability and future readiness, establishing bespoke people processes that significantly boosted employee retention and satisfaction.

Before her tenure at Kotak Mahindra Bank, Dutta served as Vice President of Talent Management at Vodafone Idea Limited. In this role, she was instrumental in integrating the talent management frameworks post the merger of Vodafone and Idea, a critical period that demanded innovative HR leadership to stabilize and strengthen the workforce.

Additionally, Dutta held the position of Circle HR Head in Karnataka for Vodafone, where she led the HR strategy through a transformative phase marked by a merger. Her efforts in increasing productivity and engagement substantially reduced costs while improving the organizational culture.

Her career also includes impactful roles at Walmart India, where she led talent strategy and HR business partnership, and GE Capital, where she managed various HR facets including organization development and employee relations.

Sayantani Dutta completed her MBA in Human Resources from Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar, providing her with a robust foundation in HR principles and practices.

Matthew Breitfelder is Partner and Global Head of Human Capital at Apollo, where he focuses on attracting extraordinary talent to the firm and creating an innovative, inclusive, high-performance culture that brings out the best in Apollo’s people. Matt leads Apollo’s recruiting, talent management, compensation, succession planning, citizenship, employee relations, development, and culture work. He is also a member of the firm’s Leadership Team. Matt is committed to expanding opportunities across Apollo’s workplace, marketplace, and communities. Prior to joining Apollo, Matt was Chief Talent Officer at BlackRock as well as a member of the Operating Committee. Previously, he held strategy, talent, and innovation roles at Mastercard, PwC, and CEB/Gartner.

Matt holds a BA in Economics from the University of Southern California, an MSc from the London School of Economics, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He currently serves on the boards of the Lumina Foundation, the Aspen Institute’s Business and Society program, the Milken Institute’s Inclusive Capitalism initiative, and Georgetown University’s initiative on AI, Analytics, and the Future of Work. He is the co-author of numerous Harvard Business School case studies and articles on leadership. Matt has been recognized as a Top Global CHRO multiple times by n2Growth and Stanford Business School.
