Pune District, Maharashtra, India, July 2026 — Ambak has promoted Shailesh Deshpande to the position of Zonal Head. In his new role, he will oversee zonal operations, driving business growth and strengthening Ambak’s presence as the company continues to expand its home loan platform and partnerships across the lending ecosystem.
Shailesh’s promotion marks another significant milestone in his career with Ambak, where he joined as Regional Head in July 2025. Over the past year, he has been responsible for leading regional operations and contributing to the company’s growth in the home loan business. His elevation to Zonal Head reflects the confidence placed in his leadership and his ability to drive business performance.
Before joining Ambak, Shailesh served as City Head – Mortgage Business at Housing.com, where he managed the mortgage business for Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad (PCMC). Earlier, he spent nearly 10 years with PNB Housing Finance Limited, progressing through leadership roles including Area Sales Manager and Cluster Manager, gaining extensive experience in housing finance, sales leadership, and business development.
He began his leadership journey in the banking sector with ICICI Bank, where he worked as Branch Manager for nearly four years, building strong expertise in branch operations, customer relationship management, and retail banking.
Complementing his professional experience, Shailesh holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Marketing from Woolf, strengthening his knowledge of business strategy and marketing.
