With a rich history spanning over two decades in strategic leadership roles across several major corporations, Venugopal brings a wealth of experience to his new position at Shalimar Paints.

Venugopal joins Shalimar Paints from Morton Foods Ltd. (Birla), where he served as President since March 2019. At Morton Foods, he was instrumental in overseeing operations and implementing strategic initiatives that significantly enhanced the company’s market presence. Prior to this, he held the position of Chief Executive Officer at Umang Dairies Ltd., where his leadership was pivotal in streamlining operations and expanding the company’s market footprint.
His extensive background also includes impactful tenures at Nippon Paint India Pvt. Ltd. as Vice President and Business Head, where he led significant growth in the company’s sales and marketing efforts, and as the Sales & Marketing Director for Nippon Paint (India) Pvt Ltd. During his time at Nippon, Venugopal excelled in driving the brand’s expansion and developing innovative market entry strategies.
Earlier in his career, Venugopal developed a robust foundation in brand management and product development at companies like Godrej Sara Lee Ltd and Reckitt Benckiser, where he managed major consumer brands and led numerous successful product launches.
