Charlotte, North Carolina, United States, December 2024 – Sharon Smith has been appointed as Vice President, Senior Talent Acquisition Recruiter at Truist. In this role, Smith will lead strategic talent acquisition efforts, leveraging her extensive expertise in recruitment, employee relations, and talent strategy to drive the organization’s mission of building better lives and communities.
Prior to joining Truist, Sharon Smith served at Deloitte for over three years, where she held roles as Lead Experienced Hire Recruiting Specialist and Talent Relations Specialist. During her tenure, she managed complex talent relations cases, provided strategic recommendations, and partnered with leadership to drive talent acquisition strategies aligned with organizational goals.
Smith also gained valuable experience at TIAA as a Senior Recruiter, where she managed the full recruitment lifecycle for wealth management roles. Her focus on strategic communications, diversity sourcing strategies, and relationship management contributed to the organization’s talent acquisition success.
Previously, Smith worked as a Recruiting Consultant for Wells Fargo, specializing in corporate risk talent acquisition. She also held senior talent acquisition roles at Novant Health, where she managed recruitment for critical healthcare roles, and at Windstream Communications, focusing on high-volume recruitment.
Her earlier career includes positions at Randstad, Cuisine For Kids, LLC, and Citi, where she honed her skills in full-cycle recruiting, team management, and strategic hiring practices.
