Goldman Sachs appoints Sharon Sun as the new COO of Global Talent & Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), within the Human Capital Management division.
Sharon brings to her new role more than a decade of experience in human capital management, having previously served in various capacities at Goldman Sachs, including Vice President of Firmwide Talent Strategy and Vice President of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion. Her leadership in these roles has significantly contributed to the firm’s strategic talent initiatives and DEI efforts, positioning her perfectly for the COO position.
Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, Sharon had a successful tenure at Deloitte, where she served as a Human Capital Manager. At Deloitte, she provided expertise to Fortune 500 clients, primarily within the Technology and Life Sciences industries, on workforce challenges, operating model transformations, organization design, and talent strategies. Her work included advising clients on M&A, change management, culture integration, and overall HR strategy.
Before her time at Deloitte, Sharon was a Senior Consultant at IBM Global Business Services. There, she provided change management consulting support to large federal agencies undergoing global operational and technology transformations, offering her insights in data and business analysis as well as PMO support.
