Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, December 2024 – Shashank Shekhar Sharma has been appointed as the Chief Experience Officer (CXO) at Zepto Café, marking a significant step in the café’s leadership evolution. In this pivotal role, Shashank will oversee operations, expansion strategies, equipment procurement, quality control, and customer experience, further driving the company’s mission to deliver exceptional value in the quick-service restaurant (QSR) space.
With close to two decades of experience in business transformation and scaling operations, Shashank has established himself as a leader in the QSR industry. His tenure with Zepto Café since its inception has been instrumental in shaping the brand’s innovative approaches to quality and efficiency. As CXO, Shashank’s expertise will play a crucial role in advancing the company’s expansion efforts and service innovation.

Shashank has been associated with Zepto for over two years. During this time, he served as Senior Vice President, where he played a key role in business process improvement, P&L management, and strategic planning. Prior to this, he held the position of Vice President of Operations, where he spearheaded retail category management and pricing strategy, establishing Zepto as a leader in the quick-commerce industry.
Before joining Zepto, Shashank contributed significantly to Chai Point over six years in various leadership roles. He was the National Head of Retail Operations, overseeing the brand’s expansion across India. Earlier, as Director of the Retail Business Unit for Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, and Goa, he effectively managed regional operations, driving profitability and ensuring operational excellence. His tenure as General Manager for multiple cities, including Mumbai, Ahmedabad, and Goa, further highlights his ability to manage large-scale operations with a focus on quality and efficiency.
Shashank’s early career includes a nearly nine-year tenure at The Oberoi Group, where he gained valuable experience in food and beverage service operations, managing multiple points of sale and banqueting functions.
