Shawn Julien has been appointed as the new Chief People Officer at REI Systems. With over two decades of robust experience in human resources, Julien brings a wealth of expertise and leadership to his new role at the Sterling, Virginia-based company.

Prior to his current role, Julien was with General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) where he served for more than seven years. As the Senior Director of HR, he was instrumental in guiding HR teams that supported the company’s significant growth and business delivery across various lines of business. Before ascending to senior director, he managed HR operations for GDIT’s Global Solutions Division, overseeing a team that supported 5,800 employees globally and was responsible for generating annual revenue exceeding $1.3 billion.

Julien’s tenure at Engility Corporation (formerly TASC), as the Director of HR for the Defense Business Unit, further highlights his capacity to lead large-scale HR initiatives. Here, he managed the HR needs of 1,700 employees worldwide and supported annual revenues of $365 million.

Before Engility, he was a Senior Account Manager at TEKsystems, where he managed a significant portfolio of projects and programs, focusing on human capital and IT solutions across federal integrators. His role involved the strategic oversight of project scopes, schedules, budgets, resources, and risks.

Additionally, Shawn has a diverse background with earlier experiences in electrical/software engineering and financial roles at various companies, enhancing his multidimensional approach to HR leadership.
