Sheena brings extensive financial expertise and leadership experience to her new role. As CFO, she will oversee financial operations, strategic planning, and support the airport’s ambitious growth plans, including its potential transformation into one of Europe’s first spaceports.
Sheena Beckwith transitions to Glasgow Prestwick Airport following a successful tenure as CFO at Fosters Funeral Directors, where she led significant achievements, including expanding the business with 10 new funeral homes, securing FCA authorization, and completing a successful PE-backed exit. She held the role from January 2020 to September 2024, demonstrating her ability to navigate complex regulatory landscapes and deliver strategic growth.
Prior to this, Sheena served as CFO at Clyde Munro Dental Group from December 2016 to December 2019, overseeing the rapid expansion of the organization from 10 to over 40 practices. Her work included multiple acquisitions, financial process development, and fostering relationships with equity and debt funders to support growth objectives.
Her extensive career also includes over 14 years at Powerleague Group Limited, where she held the position of Finance Director. During her tenure, she played a pivotal role in acquisitions, funding negotiations, and strategic reviews that realigned business priorities and stabilized profitability under various ownership structures, including private equity.
Sheena began her journey at Glasgow Prestwick Airport itself, serving as Finance Director for over a decade, where she contributed to key initiatives, including the establishment of subsidiaries in Ireland and Holland, divestments, and the airport’s transition to private ownership. Her return marks a full-circle moment in her impressive career trajectory.
