Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, January 2026 — GE Aerospace has announced the appointment of Shilpa Gupta as Chief Technology Officer – India, along with her additional role as Bangalore Site Leader. In this dual leadership capacity, she will steer technology strategy, engineering excellence, and site operations, further enhancing India’s role in GE Aerospace’s global innovation ecosystem.
With a distinguished career spanning over two decades across GE, General Motors, Infosys, and CEAT Limited, Shilpa brings deep expertise in advanced engineering, technology leadership, talent development, and diversity & inclusion initiatives. She has been instrumental in driving innovation, strengthening technical depth, and advancing organizational capability across complex engineering ecosystems.
Prior to this appointment, Shilpa served as Chief Technology Officer – India at GE Vernova and as Executive Director and Board Member at GE Renewable Energy Technologies Pvt. Ltd., where she led large, multi-location engineering teams across India. Her leadership covered strategic technology development, site governance, and people strategy, overseeing over 2,000 employees at GE’s John F. Welch Technology Centre (JFWTC).
Earlier in her career, she held several key roles at GE Aerospace, including Executive – Advanced Technology Organization, where she led teams working on emerging technologies for next-generation aircraft engines, and Executive – Advanced Design Tools, where she spearheaded global collaborations for engineering software development. Shilpa’s professional journey also includes impactful stints at General Motors, where she managed CAE engineering functions and business planning, and at Infosys and CEAT Limited, where she began her engineering career.
