Kolkata, West Bengal, India, November 2025 – PCBL Chemical Limited, part of the RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group, has announced the appointment of Mr. Nilesh Koul as its Managing Director. With nearly three decades of leadership excellence across global industrial giants, Mr. Koul brings a bold and transformative vision to guide PCBL Chemical toward a future defined by growth, innovation, and sustainable performance.
Prior to joining PCBL Chemical Limited, Mr. Koul served at Hindalco Industries Limited, where he spent almost five years leading multiple strategic functions. As Senior President and CEO – Aluminium Downstream, he was instrumental in scaling the business and driving profitability through operational excellence and innovation. Earlier, as Senior President – Marketing, Business Development & Strategic Initiatives, he led market expansion efforts, strategic partnerships, and business diversification projects that strengthened Hindalco’s global footprint in the metals sector.
Before his tenure at Hindalco, Mr. Koul spent more than eight years at LafargeHolcim (now Holcim), based in Zurich, Switzerland, where he served in several senior global roles, including Group Head of Commercial, Head of Transformation, Growth & Innovation, and Country Head – Marketing for India. He led worldwide initiatives in commercial excellence, pricing, product portfolio management, and customer-centric transformation post the Lafarge-Holcim merger. His leadership in driving organizational change across markets positioned Holcim as a more agile and customer-focused enterprise.
Earlier, he was Executive Vice President – Americas at Pidilite Industries Limited, where he managed three international subsidiaries — Cyclo USA, Pulvitec do Brasil, and Power Poxy USA — overseeing business growth across North and South America. His mandate included both organic and inorganic expansion, brand integration, and operational turnaround.
Mr. Koul’s early career was marked by over 13 years at bp (Castrol), where he held key strategic and commercial leadership roles, including Global Market Space Head – Motorcycle Lubes, Country Manager – Brazil, and General Manager Strategy for BP India. During his tenure, he led the global motorcycle lubricants segment, managing partnerships with leading OEMs like Volkswagen and Ford, and spearheaded brand collaborations with international icons such as Cristiano Ronaldo. His tenure at BP was defined by consistent business growth and the successful introduction of new product lines across global markets.
