Yokohama, Kanagawa, Japan, May 2026 — Shishir Bhushan has been elevated to Global Treasurer and Head of Merger & Acquisitions at Nissan Motor Corporation Global, marking a major milestone in his distinguished global finance leadership journey.
Since joining Nissan Motor Corporation, Shishir has steadily advanced through increasingly strategic leadership roles. Prior to this elevation, he served as Divisional General Manager, leading performance management, strategy, business development, and IT for Nissan’s $80 billion global auto finance and insurance business across 12 international entities, while also serving as board member for several Nissan financial entities worldwide.
Earlier, Shishir held several major leadership positions across Nissan’s global ecosystem, including Vice President Operations & COO at Nissan Motor Acceptance Company, Managing Director at Nissan Renault Financial Services India, Vice President Operations at Nissan Canada Finance, and multiple treasury and capital markets roles within Nissan North America and European operations.
His career also includes leadership roles at Capital One, where he specialized in securitization and financial engineering, as well as earlier strategic and project management roles with EDS Group and Ispat Industries Ltd.
Shishir holds an Executive MBA from Wharton Executive Education and an MBA in Financial Engineering from the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business, reflecting his strong financial and strategic foundation.
