Mumbai Metropolitan Region, Maharashtra, India, July 2026 — IDFC FIRST Bank has appointed Rajani Menon Pillai as Head – Enterprise Programme Management Office (EPMO). In this leadership role, she will be responsible for driving enterprise-wide programme governance, strengthening execution excellence, enhancing cross-functional project delivery, and aligning strategic transformation initiatives with the bank’s long-term business objectives.
Prior to joining IDFC FIRST Bank, Rajani served as Head – IT PMO at Aditya Birla Housing Finance Limited, where she was responsible for establishing the organization’s IT Project Management Office, designing governance frameworks, standardizing project management processes, and ensuring technology initiatives remained closely aligned with business priorities.
Earlier, she spent more than five years with RBL Bank, progressing through leadership roles including Vice President and Deputy Vice President – Program Office – Projects and Processes. During her tenure, she led enterprise programme governance, project execution, process transformation, portfolio management, and governance initiatives that supported large-scale business and technology transformation across the bank.
Before RBL Bank, Rajani worked with Aditya Birla Idea Payments Bank as PMO – IT, where she managed enterprise project governance, programme management frameworks, key performance metrics, and strategic IT initiatives supporting the bank’s digital transformation journey.
She also spent over seven years with J.P. Morgan as Project Manager, leading complex business application integration projects, release quality management, stakeholder engagement, SDLC governance, process improvement, business analysis, workflow automation, end-user enablement, and enterprise training programmes. Earlier in her career, she worked as an Analyst with Datamatics Financial Services Limited, supporting derivatives and financial market operations across global exchanges, and previously began her banking career with J.P. Morgan, working on credit and interest rate products within global operations.
With nearly two decades of experience spanning banking, financial services, enterprise programme management, IT governance, project management, business transformation, and operational excellence, Rajani Menon Pillai brings deep expertise in enterprise PMO leadership, governance frameworks, technology transformation, stakeholder management, and strategic execution. Her appointment reinforces IDFC FIRST Bank’s continued focus on strengthening enterprise transformation capabilities while supporting its digital-first growth strategy.
