Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, July 2026 — Vayona Energy has appointed Risha Bhattacharya as Head – People, Talent & Culture. She brings more than two decades of experience in human resources, talent management, organizational development, leadership development, and culture transformation. In her new role, Risha will lead Vayona Energy’s people strategy, partnering with business leaders to build a high-performance, values-driven organization that supports the company’s growth in the renewable energy sector.
Prior to joining Vayona Energy, Risha served as Head – People Management at LANXESS, where she spent over seven years leading strategic HR initiatives across the India region. She was responsible for key functions including talent acquisition, learning and development, performance management, talent management, employee engagement, and diversity & inclusion. During her tenure, she played a pivotal role in aligning people strategies with business objectives while strengthening leadership capabilities and fostering an inclusive workplace culture.
Earlier, Risha held several leadership positions at UltraTech Cement, where she gained extensive expertise in organizational development, talent management, succession planning, and employee engagement. As Lead Talent Management, she focused on developing high-potential leaders and driving succession planning initiatives. She also served as Section Head – Recruitment & Organizational Development and later in the COE – Organizational Development & Organizational Effectiveness, leading recruitment, learning and development, and people-focused transformation initiatives across multiple business divisions.
Risha began building her HR career with Onida, where she led initiatives in recruitment, training, employee engagement, performance management, and compensation & benefits. Earlier, she started her professional journey with Cadbury India Ltd. (now Mondelez) as HR & Administration Officer, where she gained foundational experience in HR operations, administration, and people processes. She holds an MBA in Human Resources and Marketing from the Prestige Institute of Management & Research, providing a strong academic foundation for her successful leadership career.
With extensive experience spanning manufacturing, specialty chemicals, consumer goods, and now renewable energy, Risha is well positioned to strengthen Vayona Energy’s people, talent, and culture agenda while supporting the organization’s long-term growth and transformation.
