Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, December 2024 – Shrikant Kanhere has been named Deputy CEO of Adani Wilmar Limited (AWL) while continuing his role as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). With over two decades of extensive experience in consulting, manufacturing, services, and the FMCG sector, Shrikant’s dual responsibilities will focus on business development, financial management, and investor relations. This strategic leadership move is aimed at enhancing AWL’s operational and financial initiatives.
In his new capacity, Shrikant will work closely with Angshu Mallick, MD & CEO of Adani Wilmar, and Saumin Sheth, COO, to oversee the company’s expansive operations. While Shrikant’s expertise will drive business and financial aspects, Saumin will continue to lead sourcing, trading, and manufacturing operations. This realignment of roles underscores AWL’s commitment to bolstering its leadership team to sustain robust growth.

Shrikant Kanhere has been with Adani Wilmar Limited for over 11 years, serving in various leadership roles. As Chief Financial Officer since 2015, he has been instrumental in driving key financial strategies, including debt syndication, mergers and acquisitions, and risk management, alongside traditional CFO responsibilities. Before becoming CFO, he served as Vice President – Finance, overseeing critical financial planning initiatives.
Prior to joining Adani Wilmar, Shrikant held key roles at Vodafone Essar Digilink Ltd for nearly eight years, where he served as General Manager Finance and DGM Finance, managing telecom-related financial operations. He also contributed significantly to the growth of Reliance Industries Limited as the Regional Accounts Head for the polymers business in Western India.
