Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, February 2025 – Siddharth Gupta has been elevated to Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) at Britannia Industries Limited, where he will lead the company’s marketing strategy and drive growth across its diverse portfolio of brands. Having been with Britannia for seven years, he has played a crucial role in expanding key product segments, including Premium Creams, Crackers, Marie, and Milk biscuits. His leadership has been instrumental in shaping Britannia’s marketing roadmap, and in this new role, he is expected to accelerate innovation and market penetration.
Siddharth Gupta has been with Britannia Industries Limited since 2018, holding key leadership positions in marketing. He most recently served as General Manager – Marketing, overseeing major biscuit categories. Prior to this, he held roles such as Senior Category Head – Milk, Marie & Crackers and Category Head – Crackers & Tiger, where he drove category growth through strategic marketing initiatives.
Before joining Britannia, Siddharth spent over a decade at Colgate-Palmolive India, where he led marketing initiatives for flagship brands. As Marketing Manager, he handled P&L responsibilities for key toothpaste brands, including Colgate Visible White, Max Fresh, and Sensitive toothpaste, as well as the OTC PainOut product line. Prior to that, as Senior Brand Manager – Toothbrushes, he played a pivotal role in launching the first-ever insight-based integrated marketing campaign (IMC) for Colgate Super Flexi toothbrush.
His journey at Colgate-Palmolive also included leadership roles in Innovation, where he launched Colgate Active Salt Healthy White, and Customer Marketing, where he developed innovative Go-to-Market plans for brand activations in modern trade. He started his career in sales and trade marketing, handling South India’s toothbrush category and overseeing distribution in Eastern Uttar Pradesh as an Area Sales Manager.
