Burton upon Trent, United Kingdom, February 2025 – Simon Kerry has been promoted to Western Europe Managing Director at Molson Coors Beverage Company. He takes over from Phil Whitehead, who has been named President and Chief Executive of the company’s EMEA & APAC divisions.
Commenting on Kerry’s appointment, Whitehead said:
“Simon knows our local and international business very well and has been an instrumental part of our company’s performance over a number of years. He has the drive and vision required for the next stage of our journey and the continued evolution of our brand portfolio.”
Kerry added:
“What this business has achieved over the past few years, particularly coming out of the pandemic and rebuilding in a very volatile economic environment, is a testament to the passion and commitment of our people and the strength of our brands.”
Kerry joined Molson Coors Beverage Company in 2012 as Director of Commercial Finance, leading financial strategies to support the company’s growth. His expertise in financial planning and strategic decision-making positioned him for key leadership roles within the organization.
In 2013, he was promoted to Chief Financial Officer (UK & Ireland), where he played a critical role in overseeing the company’s financial strategy, M&A activities, and corporate governance. Under his leadership, the company navigated market challenges and reinforced its financial stability.
By 2019, Kerry advanced to Chief Financial Officer – Europe, where he took on broader responsibilities, streamlining financial operations across multiple markets. His ability to drive efficiencies and financial performance led to his appointment as Chief Financial Officer – EMEA & APAC in 2020, where he managed financial strategy and regional growth across multiple continents.
Prior to joining Molson Coors, Kerry held key financial leadership roles, including Group Finance Director at Sure Group, Chief Financial Officer at Inspired Gaming Group, and UK Finance Director at Leisure Link Group. These roles equipped him with extensive expertise in financial leadership, strategic investments, and corporate restructuring.
Earlier in his career, Kerry worked at Bass Leisure (Part of Bass PLC), where he served as Management & Commercial Accountant, gaining experience in financial planning, business analytics, and operational efficiencies, which formed the foundation of his career in corporate finance.
