Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, June 2025 – Sivena Manikam has joined LIPTON Teas and Infusions as Head of People and Organisation – Africa, bringing with her over a decade of diverse experience in human resources, talent development, and organizational design across South Africa’s dynamic FMCG sector. In her new role, Sivena will lead the People & Culture agenda across the African region, supporting LIPTON’s mission to elevate sustainable and inclusive tea business practices while nurturing a high-performing and purpose-driven workforce.

Sivena’s appointment follows an impactful 10-year tenure at RCL FOODS, where she held a series of progressively senior roles. Most recently, she served as HR Executive: Talent and Diversity & Inclusion, driving strategic talent transformation and embedding inclusive people practices. Earlier, as HR Executive: Talent, she played a key role in strengthening leadership pipelines and talent strategy. Her career at RCL also included positions as HR Business Partner for Group Services and Pies, along with critical practitioner roles across logistics, chicken processing, and group operations.

She began her career as a Human Resources Management Trainee at RCL FOODS, showcasing strong people acumen and steadily building cross-functional HR experience over the years. Her journey through operational and strategic HR roles across regions like Gauteng, Western Cape, and KwaZulu-Natal reflects her versatility, adaptability, and dedication to people-led business growth.

With a rich understanding of organizational development and talent dynamics across South Africa, Sivena is well-positioned to contribute significantly to LIPTON Teas and Infusions’ regional transformation goals while fostering a culture of innovation and inclusion.
