BLOOMINGTON, Indiana, United States, March 2025 — Solution Tree, a leading educational publisher and professional development provider, announced today that its longtime CEO, Jeff Jones, will step down from the role effective March 31 to lead the company’s newly established Board of Directors. Veteran educator, author, and current Executive Vice President Dr. Cameron Rains will succeed Jones as CEO.

In his new capacity as Executive Chairman of the Board, Jones, who has led Solution Tree since 1998, will remain closely involved in strategic planning and long-term direction for the organization.

Rains, who first learned about Solution Tree through their work in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) when he was a classroom teacher in the early 2000s, later became an author and associate for Solution Tree and its subsidiary Marzano Resources. He shared his enthusiasm about the transition.

“Being asked to serve as the CEO of Solution Tree is the professional opportunity of a lifetime,” said Rains. “I have seen the impact our authors’ work has at the student level in my classroom as an educator, as a district leader, as an author and associate helping schools and districts, and for the last six years as an employee. Solution Tree is a special organization, and I am looking forward to continuing to advance our mission and vision in the years to come.”
