Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, September 2025 – Marico Limited, one of India’s leading consumer goods companies in the beauty and wellness segment, has announced the appointment of Sonal Khatri as Head – Rewards, Talent & HRIT. In her new leadership role, Sonal will drive the strategic design and execution of total rewards, talent development, and HR technology initiatives to strengthen Marico’s people ecosystem in line with its growth and innovation agenda.
Before joining Marico, Sonal spent over nine years at Bank of America, where she advanced through multiple leadership roles in the Rewards function. Most recently serving as Vice President, she led critical initiatives in bonus programs, annual reviews, and total rewards strategies, ensuring market competitiveness and alignment with global compensation frameworks. Her tenure at Bank of America also included roles as Assistant Vice President, Senior Manager, and Compensation and Benefits Manager, where she developed expertise in incentive design, benefits management, and strategic compensation planning for large-scale workforces.
Earlier, Sonal worked with Mercer Management Consulting as a Global Mobility Consultant, where she partnered with multinational clients on expatriate management and international mobility policies. She also contributed as a Consultant managing Mercer’s India Compensation Survey Product — a database of over 700 companies — providing valuable insights on pay structuring, benchmarking, and compensation design for corporate clients across industries.
Sonal began her career with Infosys Technologies Ltd. as a Test Engineer, where she gained early exposure to process-driven project management and technology systems. During her MBA at SCMHRD, Pune, she interned with Intel Corporation, contributing to key projects on leadership development and culture integration. Her exposure to technology, analytics, and leadership frameworks in her early career has shaped her holistic HR perspective — balancing rewards strategy with organizational development.
