Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, February 2025 – Commonwealth Bank of Australia, India has announced the appointment of Sree Harsha Madabhushi as Executive Manager (SVP), Leading Data Platform & Operations in the Chief Operations Office. With an extensive background in data engineering, cloud computing, AI-driven platforms, and digital transformation, Sree Harsha will be instrumental in enhancing data strategy, platform modernization, and operational excellence at CBA India.
Prior to joining Commonwealth Bank of Australia, India, Sree Harsha Madabhushi served as Associate Vice President at Jio, where he played a pivotal role in Data Mesh Enablement and Infra Automation, modernizing data strategies and cloud integration across various verticals. His leadership at Jio resulted in the successful migration of multiple business units to Azure Data Mesh Platform, enabling enhanced data governance, automation, and cost optimization.
Before Jio, Sree Harsha was Director of Data Engineering at Red Ventures, where he spearheaded the cloud transformation strategy, transitioning systems from on-premises infrastructure to a homogenized multi-tenant data warehouse on AWS Redshift. He was also responsible for automation initiatives, cost optimization, and AI-driven data processing.
His career also includes leadership roles at Premier Inc., LPL Financial, TIAA-CREF, MetLife, and Weyerhaeuser, where he worked on big data architecture, ETL development, and cloud migration projects. His expertise in data analytics, machine learning, and AI solutions has positioned him as a leader in data-driven digital transformation.
Sree Harsha Madabhushi holds an Advanced Management Program certification from Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB), equipping him with strong leadership, strategy, and business acumen. He also earned a Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in Engineering Design from Amrita School of Engineering and a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Mechatronics (Mechanical Engineering) from Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology.
