Dubai, United Arab Emirates, January 2026 — Mashreq has announced the promotion of Srikant Ramesan to Senior Director, Head of Leveraged & Acquisition Finance. In his expanded leadership role, he will lead Mashreq’s leveraged and acquisition finance portfolio, driving structured financing solutions, client origination strategies, and growth across key regional markets.
Srikant Ramesan brings more than fifteen years of deep expertise in structured finance, leveraged lending, and acquisition finance across leading global banks. He has been part of Mashreq for over seven years, most recently serving as Director, where he led complex leveraged and acquisition finance transactions across the Middle East. His promotion reflects his consistent leadership in building Mashreq’s leveraged finance franchise.
Prior to Mashreq, Srikant spent close to nine years with Standard Chartered Bank, progressing through roles including Director, Associate Director, Associate, and Graduate Associate within Structured Financing Solutions and Leveraged & Structured Solutions. During this period, he built strong capabilities across origination, client coverage, commodity trading finance, agribusiness finance, and special asset management.
He began his professional career as a Software Engineer at Hexaware Technologies, bringing a strong analytical and technology-driven approach into his later banking leadership roles.
Education
Srikant Ramesan holds an MBA in Finance and Marketing from the Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi.
