Stephen Powell’s journey at Cisco spans over eight years, where he has consistently climbed the ranks within the organization. Prior to his current position, Stephen served as Director – Leader Enablement Solutions, where he played a key role in empowering leaders across Cisco to drive impactful change. His expertise was further honed during his tenure as Chief of Staff – People & Communities Solutions and Chief of Staff – Conscious Leaders & Teams, where he successfully navigated complex organizational challenges and contributed significantly to the company’s leadership development strategies. His initial roles at Cisco include ENG HR Business Partner – Enterprise Networking and participation in the Human Resource Leadership Program, which laid the foundation for his growth within the company.

Before joining Cisco, Stephen gained substantial experience at the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), where he worked as a Rates Trade Control Analyst and Credit Derivatives Analyst. During his time at RBS, Stephen was instrumental in reducing firm risk and streamlining processes, showcasing his ability to manage high-stakes financial operations.

Stephen’s early career also includes roles as a Strategy Department Assistant at Brigham Young University and a Health and Benefits Consulting Intern at Aon Consulting, where he developed a strong foundation in strategy, financial analysis, and client relations.
