Wisconsin, United States, August 2024 – Steve Candler has commenced his new role as Vice President, Human Resources – Global Supply Chain at Essity. In this capacity, Steve will be a key member of the Global Supply Chain (GSC) leadership team, reporting directly to the President of Global Supply Chain. He will oversee HR operations across an extensive global organization, which includes approximately 18,000 employees spanning procurement, manufacturing, planning & logistics, engineering, and finance.
Before taking on his new role, Steve served as the HR Director – Global Supply Chain at Essity for about 2 years and 8 months. In this position, he was responsible for leading HR operations and labor relations for Essity’s Professional Hygiene and Personal Care operations in the United States and Canada. Steve played a pivotal role as a business partner to the VP Operations, Professional Hygiene North America and Europe.
Prior to joining Essity, Steve was an HR Leader – Interim at Patina Solutions in 2021. In this role, he provided expert HR consulting services, partnering with leaders to drive improvements in people, processes, and profits, and mentoring HR teams to enhance their credibility and effectiveness.
From 2016 to 2020, Steve served as the HR Director | Global Vitreous Operations at Kohler Co., where he aligned HR activities with organizational goals and led a global HR team supporting 13,600 employees across 20 factories in 9 countries. His strategic initiatives significantly improved operational performance, talent retention, and leadership stability.
