Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, February 2025 – JioStar Network has appointed Sudarshan Sharma as Vice President – Subscription Partnerships, Digital Ventures. In this role, he will be responsible for driving strategic collaborations and accelerating subscription growth within JioStar’s digital ecosystem. With over two decades of experience in technology, business development, and subscription models, he brings a wealth of expertise in digital media, customer lifecycle management, and revenue growth strategies.
Before joining JioStar Network, Sharma spent nearly seven years at Sony Pictures Networks India, where he most recently served as Vice President – Head of B2B Subscription & Partnerships, India and International, at SonyLIV. In this role, he played a key part in scaling SonyLIV’s subscription business, developing strategic alliances, and driving market expansion. Prior to that, he held the role of Associate Vice President – Head of Subscription Business (B2C & B2B), where he led subscription revenue initiatives and global partnerships.

Before his tenure at Sony, he was Head of Business Development at Spuul, an OTT platform catering to Indian and international audiences. At Spuul, he focused on revenue growth, strategic alliances, and distribution expansion, including partnerships with telecom operators, ISPs, and DTH providers. He also served as Head of Telecom Business at Spuul, leading global telecom partnerships and digital strategy.
Earlier in his career, Sharma held key roles at Idea Cellular Ltd, Tata Teleservices, Rediff.com, and Mauj Mobile. At Idea Cellular, he was Assistant General Manager – National Marketing (VAS), where he oversaw content-driven value-added services across multiple platforms. His experience at Tata Teleservices included serving as VAS Head for Mumbai Circle, where he drove revenue growth, product innovation, and customer engagement across voice, data, and SMS verticals.
