New Delhi, India | July 2026 — Jindal Steel Ltd. has appointed Sukhjit S. Pasricha as President & Head – Human Resources, strengthening its leadership team as the company advances its growth and manufacturing ambitions. In his new role, he will lead the company’s people strategy, organizational transformation, leadership development, talent management, and HR initiatives to support Jindal Steel’s long-term business objectives.
Sukhjit joins Jindal Steel from IndiGo (InterGlobe Aviation Ltd.), where he served as Group Chief Human Resources Officer. During his tenure, he led the airline’s enterprise-wide people strategy, organizational capability, leadership development, talent management, employee engagement, and HR transformation initiatives for one of India’s largest aviation companies.
Prior to IndiGo, he was Group CHRO (President – HR) at Kotak Mahindra Bank, where he was responsible for leading the HR strategy across the diversified financial services group, driving leadership capability, organizational effectiveness, workforce transformation, and talent development.
Earlier, he served as Chief of HR & Administration at Bajaj Finance Ltd., strengthening the organization’s people practices during a period of rapid business expansion. Before that, he held the role of Head of HR & Administration (Vice President – HR & Administration) at IndiGo, where he played a key role in building HR systems and supporting the airline’s high-growth journey.
Sukhjit also spent over six years with the Bharti Airtel Group, holding multiple senior HR leadership roles. These included Senior Vice President – HR (Airtel Africa), where he led HR transformation across 17 African countries, while serving as HR Business Partner for nine Anglophone markets. Earlier, he served as Senior Vice President – HR (CHRO – Enterprise Services Business) and Vice President – HR (CHRO – North Region Mobile Business), driving people strategy across key business units.
Earlier in his career, he served as Head – HR at Spice Communications Ltd. and began his HR journey with the Vardhman Group of Companies, building a strong foundation in manufacturing and industrial human resources.
With more than 28 years of leadership experience across manufacturing, aviation, telecommunications, and financial services, Sukhjit brings deep expertise in HR strategy, organizational transformation, leadership development, talent management, culture building, workforce planning, HR digitization, and business partnering, making him well-positioned to lead Jindal Steel’s people agenda during its next phase of growth.
