Sameer’s promotion marks another significant milestone in his journey with Miraj Entertainment Ltd. Having rejoined the company in 2023 as Vice President – Operations, he has played a pivotal role in enhancing operational efficiency, strengthening cinema operations, improving customer engagement, and supporting the company’s growth strategy across its nationwide multiplex network. Earlier, he also served as Assistant Vice President – Operations at Miraj between 2020 and 2021, where he successfully led operational initiatives and business processes. In his new role as Chief Operating Officer, Sameer will be responsible for driving operational excellence, accelerating business expansion, optimizing performance across the cinema network, and delivering superior entertainment experiences to customers.
Prior to rejoining Miraj Entertainment, Sameer served as Vice President – Business Development at Cineline India Ltd., where he led strategic business development initiatives and supported expansion opportunities within the cinema exhibition sector. Before that, he spent more than seven years with PVR Limited as General Manager, leading operations, business development, and project execution across multiple cinema properties. During his tenure, he played an important role in strengthening operational performance while supporting the growth of one of India’s leading multiplex chains.
Earlier in his career, Sameer spent over 10 years with Cinemax India Ltd. as General Manager, where he built a strong foundation in mall management, cinema operations, liaison, business development, and project management. Throughout his tenure, he successfully managed large-scale multiplex operations, led cross-functional teams, optimized customer service standards, and contributed to the expansion of cinema infrastructure. His extensive experience across India’s leading multiplex brands has equipped him with deep expertise in cinema exhibition, operations management, commercial strategy, business development, and organizational leadership.
