In her current role at eBay, she will be responsible for shaping and executing the company’s India talent acquisition strategy, driving innovation, agility, and inclusion in hiring practices. Her leadership will play a pivotal role in expanding eBay’s employer brand presence, enhancing workforce capabilities, and fostering a culture of excellence across its fast-growing India operations.
Before joining eBay, Sumana served as Director & Country Leader for Talent Planning & Acquisition, India, and DEI Lead for Greater Asia at Intel Corporation, where she successfully led diversity hiring frameworks, strengthened the talent pipeline across engineering and leadership roles, and established a robust inclusion ecosystem. Her initiatives at Intel significantly advanced gender diversity, veteran hiring, and accessibility programs, cementing the organization’s reputation as an employer of choice in the technology sector.
Earlier, she was Country Leader for Talent Acquisition at Philips, where she redefined strategic sourcing, hiring analytics, and candidate engagement through technology integration. At Dell Technologies, where she spent over six years, she held key positions including Country Leader – Talent Acquisition for Sales, Analytics, and Corporate Functions, and Recruitment Lead for Application Services. During her tenure, she played a transformative role in scaling enterprise and consumer business hiring, implementing data-driven recruitment systems, and enhancing productivity through continuous process improvement.
Her journey prior to Dell includes impactful roles at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, where she led pan-India staffing operations, and at Bank of America and Genpact, where she oversaw large-volume hiring, workforce analytics, and global talent programs. Sumana began her career in business development and corporate sales with Bharti Airtel and Tata Infotech Ltd, experiences that honed her understanding of client-centric strategies and business alignment in talent functions. Her broad exposure across technology, financial services, and shared services domains gives her a unique cross-industry perspective on workforce evolution in dynamic environments.
