Dubai, United Arab Emirates – October 2024 – Sumit Malhotra has been named the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at Neweast General Trading, a leading distributor of automotive spare parts in the Middle East, Africa, and beyond. In his new role, Sumit will oversee the HR strategy, focusing on driving organizational culture, diversity, talent management, and implementing innovative HR solutions across the company.
Sumit brings over two decades of experience in HR and business excellence to his role at Neweast General Trading. Prior to joining Neweast, he served as the Head – Centre of Excellence at Trojan Construction Group in Abu Dhabi, where he led HR shared services and performance management for over 30,000 employees across various SBUs, aligning the organization with its growth strategy.
Before that, Sumit was the Business Excellence Manager at DAMAC Properties in Dubai, where he developed finance shared services and identified automation opportunities. He also worked as Director of Business Excellence at Flow Progressive Logistics, managing strategy planning, quality assurance, and customer experience functions.
Sumit’s extensive experience also includes roles at Abdul Latif Jameel, Al-Futtaim, and Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA), where he led performance management, operational excellence, and quality assurance initiatives across various sectors.
