New Delhi, India, April 2025 — Sunny Goel has joined Gallagher as Head of Liability and Growth Projects, marking a significant milestone in his two-decade-long career across the insurance and risk advisory sector. In his new role, Sunny will spearhead Gallagher’s strategic expansion into complex liability and specialty risk domains, further solidifying its leadership in the Indian and regional insurance markets.
Sunny brings with him extensive experience in financial lines, casualty, and specialty risk, having held senior leadership roles at industry-leading firms including Willis Towers Watson (WTW), Almondz Insurance Brokers, and Cholamandalam MS General Insurance Co. Ltd. At WTW, he led the FINEX India vertical, delivering executive risk advisory services to some of the most prominent corporate clients in the country. His sharp business acumen and deep product expertise made him a trusted advisor in the areas of D&O, E&O, cyber liability, and emerging risk segments.
Prior to WTW, Sunny played an instrumental role in building out the liability portfolio for North India at Almondz Insurance Brokers, progressing through key leadership positions and mentoring regional teams in client acquisition and retention. His earlier career with Cholamandalam MS General Insurance laid the foundation for his expertise in broker relationships and new business development.
A finance and insurance professional, Sunny holds an MBA in Finance from the Institute of Productivity and Management and a Post Graduate Diploma in Insurance from Amity University. His appointment at Gallagher is expected to bolster the company’s capability in addressing evolving client needs in the liability space, as it strengthens its presence in India and across emerging markets.
