Tiruppur, Tamil Nadu, India, September 2025 – Ramraj Cotton has appointed Suresh Babu as its new Group Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). In this role, he will be responsible for leading the company’s HR strategy, talent management, and people development initiatives, aligning with Ramraj Cotton’s continued growth and brand leadership in the ethnic wear market.
Before joining Ramraj Cotton, Suresh Babu spent over a decade at Bonfiglioli India, serving as Vice President Human Resources. He managed HR, employee relations, and administration across multiple locations, successfully building HR capabilities for the full value chain in India.
Earlier, he worked with Danfoss as Human Resources Director, where he led HR shared services across businesses and locations in India and provided interim HR support for the APA region. His work contributed to strengthening HR operations and enhancing organizational agility.
He also held multiple leadership roles at Schneider Electric over nearly five years. As Head of Human Resources for the Global Supply Chain Business in India, he managed HR for more than 3,500 employees across seven locations. Prior to this, he served as Plant HR Head for the Chennai plant, where he oversaw HR and industrial relations for a workforce of over 800 employees.
Earlier in his career, Suresh served as Senior Manager HR at Reliance Retail, managing HR services and employee relations for retail stores and distribution centers, and as Unit HR Head at AREVA T&D, where he led HR, administration, EHS, and IR for a major Chennai plant. He began his HR journey with roles at POS HYUNDAI Steel Manufacturing India Pvt. Ltd. and MAJESTIC Furnishing Company Limited, where he was instrumental in supporting HR and administration at greenfield projects.
