Buffalo, New York, United States, September 2025 — Susan W. has been promoted to Chief People & Impact Officer at AAA Western and Central New York, taking on an expanded leadership role that encompasses Human Resources, Learning & Development, Diversity, Equity & Belonging (DEB), Property Management, Safety, Public Affairs, Corporate Communications, ESG, and Sales & Operations for AAA’s Retail Branches and Driving School. In this role, she is focused on building a growth-minded, inclusive workforce that enhances organizational performance, advances customer and member experience, and strengthens AAA’s broader impact.
Susan has been with AAA Western and Central New York for nearly six years, serving most recently as Vice President, where she oversaw Service Operations, Member Relations, the Member Contact Center, HR, L&D, and Driver Education. Before that, she was Vice President of Human Resources, leading people strategy and development initiatives that laid the groundwork for her expanded responsibilities.
Earlier, Susan spent over five years at Curbell, Inc. as Director of Human Resources, where she managed HR strategy across the organization. She also worked with Curbell Medical as Associate Director of Human Resources, playing a key role in employee engagement and talent programs. Her career at Curbell began with roles as HR Business Partner & Talent Acquisition Manager and Talent Acquisition Manager, where she strengthened talent pipelines and organizational capability.
Susan began her career in recruitment as an Executive Recruiter with Remedy Intelligent Staffing, where she developed a strong foundation in sourcing, selection, and workforce consulting that has continued to shape her leadership journey.
She holds a Master of Science in Leadership & Organizational Development from Canisius University, equipping her with a strong academic grounding for her leadership roles.
