Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, April 2026 — Tanu Bhargava has started a new position as Head of Institutional & Digital Sales at DSP Mutual Fund, marking an important milestone in her financial services leadership journey. In this role, she will lead business development for institutional clients, family offices, and digital sales, bringing extensive experience across wealth management, strategic banking, integration management, and business growth.
Before joining DSP Mutual Fund, Tanu Bhargava built a long and distinguished career at Axis Bank, where she served for more than sixteen years in multiple senior leadership roles. Most recently, she was Head – Wealth Management and NRI Banking. Prior to that, she served as EVP – Head of Integration Management (Citibank Consumer Business Acquisition), where she managed the integration process for the acquired Citibank retail portfolio. Earlier, she held roles including Head-Strategic Clients Group, Wholesale Banking, SVP & Head – New Economy Group, Sr. Vice President & Group Head – Strategic Corporate Clients, Head-Strategy & Executive Assistant to CEO, and Head – Travel Cards & Retail Forex Remittances. These assignments reflect a strong and sustained progression across banking strategy, wealth, payments, corporate banking, and transformation leadership.
Alongside this, she also served as Consultant & Expert Advisor and Expert Advisor in freelance capacities, advising on M&A execution, wealth, NRI, payments, commercial banking, cards, and e-payments. In an earlier phase of her career, she was also associated with Axis Bank as Business Head – Debit & Prepaid Cards, where she handled business strategy, product, sales, business development, and operations.
Academically, Tanu Bhargava holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi, and also studied at the Management Development Institute, Gurgaon. With experience spanning DSP Mutual Fund, Axis Bank, and advisory assignments across multiple financial services domains, she brings a strong and well-rounded leadership profile to her new role.
Her appointment as Head of Institutional & Digital Sales is expected to support DSP Mutual Fund as it continues to strengthen its engagement with institutional investors, family offices, and digitally driven channels in a rapidly evolving investment landscape.
