Cairo, Egypt, April 2026 – Sherif Amin has been appointed as General Manager & CEO, Egypt at GSK, marking a significant leadership milestone and a meaningful return to the organization where his early career journey began.
In this role, Sherif will lead GSK’s operations in Egypt, focusing on strengthening partnerships, advancing innovation, and expanding patient access to life-changing healthcare solutions. His appointment reflects both continuity and evolution, bringing together deep industry experience with a renewed commitment to impact in a high-potential healthcare market.
Prior to rejoining GSK, Sherif served as Country President – Levant at Novartis, where he led regional strategy and business performance across key Middle East markets.
Earlier, he held the position of Country President at Novartis Egypt, driving growth and strengthening the company’s footprint in one of the region’s most dynamic healthcare ecosystems.
During his extensive tenure with Novartis Oncology, Sherif held multiple leadership roles including General Manager for Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia & Libya, where he managed multi-country operations and built high-performing teams across diverse markets. He also served as Head of Policy and Market Access, Middle East & Africa, playing a critical role in shaping access strategies and stakeholder engagement across the region.
His earlier career includes roles at GlaxoSmithKline and Schering AG, where he built foundational expertise in the pharmaceutical industry, beginning as a medical representative and progressing through leadership roles over the years.
With over two decades of experience and more than 15 years in leadership positions across the Middle East and Africa, Sherif brings deep expertise in commercial strategy, market access, team leadership, and healthcare transformation.
