Antwerp, Belgium, November 2024 – Tom Bals has been appointed as the Chief Financial Officer at TRAINM Clinics, bringing his extensive expertise in financial strategy, reporting, and operational management to the role. Based in the Antwerp Metropolitan Area, Tom will oversee the financial functions and contribute to advancing the clinic group’s mission of offering cutting-edge neurorehabilitation therapies.
Prior to joining TRAINM Clinics, Tom served as a Finance Manager (a.i.) at VaultSpeed, where he managed financial strategies and contributed to operational growth. Before this, he held the role of Financial Group Controller (a.i.) at Greenyard, overseeing financial controls and reporting for the organization.
Earlier, Tom acted as Finance Director (a.i.) at VOX TENEO, where he enhanced financial processes and systems, supporting business expansion. He also worked with the National Lottery (Belgium) as a Business Controller (a.i.), implementing financial analysis to optimize performance.
Tom has had significant tenures across various organizations, including EssentBE, Tobania, ISS Facility Services, and DP World Belgium, in roles such as Financial Process Analyst, FP&A Manager, and Group Controller, respectively. His extensive freelance consulting experience with B kwadraat consulting spans over 13 years, where he provided expertise in ERP implementation, controlling, and cost management.
At the start of his career, Tom held positions at Deloitte, Rentokil Initial, and Trafuco NV, gaining a strong foundation in financial accounting, tax finance control, and consultancy.
