Charlotte, North Carolina, United States, April 2025 – In a significant move to strengthen its leadership in human resources, Nucor Corporation has announced two key leadership appointments. Tom Batterbee has been promoted to Executive Vice President of Human Resources and Talent, while Beth Bledsoe has joined Nucor as the President of Human Resources and Talent, a newly created position within the company.

Tom Batterbee has dedicated more than 35 years to Nucor Corporation, advancing through a range of leadership roles that include General Manager, Vice President and General Manager at Vulcraft of New York and Nucor Building Systems, and most recently Vice President and General Manager at Nucor Steel South Carolina. His long tenure reflects a deep understanding of the company’s operations, people, and culture, making him ideally suited for this new executive role overseeing HR and talent development enterprise-wide.
Beth Bledsoe joins Nucor with an extensive career in human resources leadership, having spent over a decade at MSC Industrial Supply Co., where she served as Senior Vice President and Chief People Officer, leading a global team of 80 HR professionals supporting 7,000 associates. Prior to this, she held a number of leadership roles at Ingersoll Rand, including HR Director, Talent Manager, and Program Manager for the IR MBA program. Her career spans nearly three decades, marked by her strategic contributions to organizational development, cultural transformation, talent pipelines, and leadership programming across global geographies.
