Falls Church, Virginia, USA, April 2025 — Travis Garriss has been appointed as the new Chief Information and Digital Officer (CIDO) at Northrop Grumman, a global aerospace and defense technology leader. Bringing with him over two decades of extensive leadership experience in information technology, cybersecurity, infrastructure management, and digital innovation, Garriss is poised to lead Northrop Grumman’s information and digital strategy as the company continues to deliver next-generation technology solutions across critical sectors.
Prior to joining Northrop Grumman, Travis Garriss served as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer at BAE Systems, Inc. for six years, where he was a member of the company’s Senior Leadership Team. At BAE Systems, he was responsible for overseeing all information technology initiatives, advancing cybersecurity operations, driving data standardization, cloud brokerage, advanced analytics, and implementing modern IT capabilities in a highly regulated defense environment.
Before BAE Systems, Garriss had a distinguished career at Honeywell, where he held multiple leadership positions over 12 years, including Vice President and CIO, VP of Enterprise Support, and VP of Infrastructure and Application Operations. At Honeywell, he led major IT transformation initiatives, drove innovation in user experience, operationalized cost efficiencies, and managed global IT operations covering data centers, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, and business applications across divisions.
Earlier in his career, Travis Garriss contributed to critical IT operations and cybersecurity leadership roles at DHL, where he led Network Security and Enterprise Tools teams supporting hundreds of sites across the Americas.
At Northrop Grumman, Garriss will focus on driving digital innovation, strengthening cybersecurity resilience, modernizing IT infrastructure, and enhancing enterprise-wide digital capabilities. His leadership will be pivotal in advancing Northrop Grumman’s technological edge in delivering autonomous systems, space exploration platforms, cyber solutions, C4ISR capabilities, strike systems, and modernization programs for customers worldwide.
