Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, August 2024 – Trent Szabo has joined SGI as the new Vice President of Human Resources. He is delighted to contribute his extensive experience to SGI and looks forward to driving organizational success and fostering a productive work environment.
Trent Szabo has begun his tenure as the Vice President of Human Resources at SGI, based in Regina, Saskatchewan, bringing a wealth of experience to his new role.
Prior to joining SGI, Trent served as the Executive Director of Staff Services at the Saskatchewan Health Authority for nearly seven years. In this role, he was responsible for leading staff health, staff relations, employment services, and staff scheduling services. Trent’s leadership and strategic initiatives significantly enhanced the operational efficiency and employee satisfaction within the organization.
Before his time at the Saskatchewan Health Authority, Trent held various key positions at the Sunrise Health Region over a span of almost 18 years. He served as the Interim VP of Strategy & Partnerships and Director of Staff Services, where he provided overall leadership in multiple HR functions. His responsibilities included managing payroll, benefits, workforce retention, and labor relations, which contributed to the organization’s growth and stability.
Earlier in his career, Trent worked at Saskatchewan Health Authority and Sunrise Health Region, where he held roles such as Director of Payroll & Benefits and Human Resource Officer. His extensive experience in these positions allowed him to develop a deep understanding of human resources management and employee relations.
