San Francisco, California, United States, February 2026 — Balaji Krishnamurthy has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer of Uber, effective February 16, 2026. He succeeds Prashanth Mahendra-Rajah, who will step down from the role on the same date and continue with the company as a Senior Finance Advisor, reporting to Dara Khosrowshahi through July 1, 2026.
Balaji Krishnamurthy brings over six years of progressive leadership experience at Uber, most recently serving as Vice President – Strategic Finance and Investor Relations. In this role, he was responsible for shaping Uber’s financial narrative with global investors and analysts, overseeing capital markets engagement, and supporting long-term value creation across the company’s mobility and delivery businesses.
Earlier, he held multiple senior finance leadership roles within Uber, including Vice President – Strategic Finance for Mobility & Delivery and Vice President – Strategic Finance for Mobility, where he partnered closely with business leaders to drive financial planning, performance management, and strategic decision-making across Uber’s core platforms. He also served as Head of Investor Relations, strengthening Uber’s engagement with the investment community during a critical phase of growth and operational maturity.
Prior to joining Uber, Krishnamurthy spent more than eight years at Goldman Sachs, where he worked as a Vice President in Equity Research, covering U.S. hardware and communications technology. Earlier in his career, he held research and advisory roles at Irevna, iTrust Financial Advisors, and gained early exposure to India’s digital economy through an internship at Info Edge India Ltd. In addition to his executive responsibilities, he currently serves as a Board Member at Waabi.
