Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, February 2026 — Gangadhar Krishnamoorthy has been appointed as Senior Vice President – Manufacturing & SCM Excellence at JSW Steel, where he will lead strategic initiatives to drive operational excellence, supply chain efficiency, and digitally enabled manufacturing transformation across the organisation.
In this role, Gangadhar Krishnamoorthy is responsible for advancing JSW Steel’s Industry 4.0 agenda by converging manufacturing operations, supply chain processes, and smart workplace technologies. His appointment follows a highly impactful tenure at KPMG India, where he served in Business Transformation Consulting, designing and implementing EBITDA improvement programmes, digital maturity assessments, and large-scale transformation roadmaps for global leaders across the steel, aluminium, mining, cement, oil & gas, and manufacturing sectors.
Prior to KPMG India, Gangadhar Krishnamoorthy spent over five years at EY as Director – Advisory Services, leading Industry 4.0, IIoT, smart operations, and supply chain transformation programmes. His work spanned digital strategy design, program management offices, IT–OT convergence, and enterprise-wide manufacturing digitisation for large global organisations, including metals, mining, cement, oil & gas, food manufacturing, and public sector enterprises.
Earlier in his career, he held senior consulting and leadership roles at Tech Mahindra, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), and Wipro, where he played a pivotal role in establishing Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) practices, leading large global MES transformations, and delivering “pit-to-port” digital solutions across metals and mining value chains. His deep industry foundation was built during a 16-year tenure at Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), where he served as Senior Manager – Electrical, overseeing erection, commissioning, automation, and maintenance of complex steel melting, hot rolling, and cold rolling mill units. This rare blend of hands-on plant experience and high-level consulting leadership enables him to bring an end-to-end operational perspective to his role at JSW Steel.
Gangadhar Krishnamoorthy holds a Master of Technology (MTech) in Software Systems from Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani, completed through a work-integrated learning programme.
