Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, July 2026 — Gulf Oil India has promoted Sugandha Khandelwal to the position of General Manager – Business Planning, MD’s Office, recognising her decade-long contribution to strategic planning and business performance within the organisation.
In her new role, Sugandha will lead business planning initiatives from the Managing Director’s Office, driving corporate strategy, business performance management, financial planning, cross-functional alignment, and strategic decision-making to support Gulf Oil India’s continued growth and future-ready mobility ambitions.
Sugandha has been associated with Gulf Oil India for more than 11 years, steadily progressing through a series of increasingly senior leadership roles. Most recently, she served as Deputy General Manager – Business Planning, MD’s Office, where she played a key role in corporate planning, financial analysis, business strategy, and performance management. Earlier, she held the positions of Senior Manager – Business Planning, MD’s Office and Manager – Business Planning, MD’s Office, contributing significantly to forecasting, management information systems, strategic planning, and business transformation initiatives that strengthened the company’s planning capabilities.
Prior to joining Gulf Oil India, Sugandha spent over five years with Vedanta Resources Limited, where she progressed from the Management Trainee Program to Associate Manager – Finance, and subsequently Senior Associate Manager – Finance. During this period, she built strong expertise in financial analysis, business finance, SAP systems, performance management, and corporate financial planning, establishing a solid foundation for her subsequent leadership journey in business planning and strategy.
With over 16 years of professional experience spanning business planning, corporate strategy, financial analysis, forecasting, business performance management, and strategic decision support, Sugandha brings deep commercial and analytical expertise to her expanded leadership responsibilities. Her promotion reflects Gulf Oil India’s continued focus on nurturing internal leadership talent while strengthening its strategic planning capabilities.
