Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, July 2026 — Anthropic has strengthened its India go-to-market organization with the appointment of Surajj Gurav to its Enterprise GTM team, where he will partner with banking, financial services, and insurance (BFSI) enterprises to accelerate the responsible adoption of enterprise AI. He joins Anthropic’s India GTM team led by Irina Ghose.
In his new role, Surajj will work closely with leading BFSI organizations, helping them leverage Anthropic’s trusted and reliable AI capabilities while navigating the industry’s stringent regulatory, security, and governance requirements. His appointment aligns with Anthropic’s mission to enable the safe and responsible adoption of transformative AI technologies across enterprises.
Prior to joining Anthropic, Surajj served as Director – Sales, BFSI at Snowflake, where he led strategic engagements with leading financial institutions, helping organizations modernize their data platforms and accelerate cloud-based digital transformation initiatives.
Earlier, he was Chief Revenue Officer (India) at Snapwork Technologies, driving enterprise growth, customer acquisition, and revenue expansion across the Indian market.
Before that, Surajj spent over three years with Microsoft as Specialist – Business Applications, partnering with leading BFSI organizations to accelerate digital transformation through Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform, low-code application development, robotic process automation, and AI-enabled customer experience solutions.
Earlier in his career, he held leadership roles at MicroStrategy, Equifax, IBM India Pvt. Ltd., Oracle India, Sun Microsystems India, Pre-emptive Systems, Velocis Systems, Redington India Ltd., Team Computers Pvt. Ltd., Momentum Infocare Pvt. Ltd., SSI Limited, and Datapro Infoworld Ltd., building nearly three decades of experience across enterprise software, cloud platforms, analytics, AI, digital transformation, middleware, business applications, and enterprise technology sales. Throughout his career, he has partnered with leading banking, financial services, telecom, manufacturing, and public sector organizations to deliver large-scale technology transformation initiatives.
With extensive expertise spanning enterprise AI, cloud technologies, analytics, digital transformation, customer experience, and strategic enterprise sales, Surajj brings deep industry knowledge that will support Anthropic’s continued expansion across India’s BFSI sector.
