New Delhi, India, June 2025 — Udaya Sankar has been elevated to Director at nasscom, in recognition of over 13 years of impactful leadership and his pivotal role in shaping India’s skilling and talent development landscape. As the former National Lead – Academia & Government Relations, Udaya has played a critical role in scaling the FutureSkills platform, aligning educational and government ecosystems with industry needs in emerging technologies.
At nasscom, Udaya led national programs that bridged industry, academia, and government—driving adoption of future-ready certifications, enabling digital skilling policy frameworks, and enhancing talent readiness for the IT-ITeS sector under the Skill India mission. His efforts have laid the foundation for large-scale digital transformation in education and workforce readiness.
Beyond nasscom, Udaya is the Co-Founder of the Maatram Foundation, an organization dedicated to providing scholarships and mentorship to underprivileged students in Tamil Nadu. His commitment to inclusive education and equitable access has had a meaningful impact on the lives of countless learners.
Prior to his tenure at nasscom, Udaya served as Zonal Head – HR Placements at HCL Infosystems Ltd, where he managed recruitment, employee development, and institutional outreach. He began his career with Le Magnus Group as Assistant Manager – Corporate Communications and Placement, where he honed his skills in strategic communications, training, and corporate relations.
In his new role as Director, Udaya will continue to lead national skilling initiatives, deepen cross-sector collaboration, and accelerate India’s journey towards a digitally empowered workforce.
